MADISON, WI (WSAU) – Wisconsin-based Kwik Trip is expanding. They’re buying the Madison-based Stop-N-Go stores.
Kwik Trip, based in LaCrosse, will add nearly 35 locations in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
Larger Stop-N-Go locations will be renovated and converted to the Kwik Trip brand. Smaller Stop-N-Go stores will keep their current name.
Stop-N-Go CEO Andrew Bowman said: “It was important for us that the Stop-N-Go brand be continued. All of us at Stop-N-Go have a great deal of pride and sense of accomplishment because our efforts built a brand worthy of continuing under the new ownership of Kwik Trip.”
As a privately owned company, Kwik Trip has not released the terms of the purchase. The sale is expected to be finalized by the end of 2020.
