SEOUL (Reuters) – South Korea on Sunday reported 279 cases of the new coronavirus, the most cases since early March, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) said.
Out those, 267 were locally transmitted cases, mostly in Seoul and surrounding areas.
The new cases bring the country’s tally to 15,318 infections, with COVID-19 305 deaths, as of Saturday midnight.
