MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Wisconsin reported its fewest new cases of coronavirus in two weeks on Monday; however, the percentage of positive tests continued to increase.
The state Department of Health Services said there were 455 new confirmed cases among the 5,962 tests completed. The 7.6% positive rate pushed the seven-day average to 7.4%.
The state also reported no new deaths from COVID-19, the illness caused by the new coronavirus. It was the first day without a new death reported since last Monday.
Since the pandemic began, there have been 66,196 cases of coronavirus, 1,066,040 negative tests and 1,039 deaths.
DHS lists 55,982 people as having recovered from COVID-19.
Hospitalization data had not been updated for the day as of early Monday afternoon.
