September 1st is a big day for hunters because it’s the day that the mourning dove, early teal, and early Canadian goose seasons open in Wisconsin.
Here’s a rundown of what you need to know about each season…
Mourning Dove:
- The season runs through November 29th, 2020.
- Daily Bag Limit: 15 Doves
- Required: Small Game License
Early Canadian Goose:
- September 1-15, 2020
- Daily Bag Limit: 5 Geese
- Requirements: Small Game License, Canada Goose Permit, Federal Duck Stamp, State Duck Stamp, and HIP Registration.
- (HIP = Migratory Bird Harvest Information Program)
Early Teal:
- September 1-9
- Daily Bag Limit: 6 Teal
- Requirements: Small Game License, Federal Duck Stamp, State Duck Stamp, and HIP Registration.
