CONAKRY (Reuters) – Guinea President Alpha Conde has accepted his party’s nomination to run for a third term in October’s election, the party said in a statement on Monday.
Conde, who was first elected in 2010, pushed through a change to the constitution earlier this year that he says allows him to circumvent a previous two-term limit on presidential mandates.
