TOMAHAWK, WI (WSAU) — Patrons to a local restaurant last week may have been exposed to COVID-19.
According to a release from the Lincoln County Health Department, there was a COVID-19 exposure at Outboards Bar & Grill in Tomahawk. Several individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 were at the location while they were contagious and possibly spreading the virus.
The individuals were at the restaurant on Tuesday, September 15th from 6 to 8 p.m. Other individuals who were at the establishment at that time and did not practice social distancing may have been exposed to COVID. The release recommends that those who were at the location at that time monitor for symptoms and stay home as much as possible over the next 14 days.
Anyone who develops symptoms should contact their healthcare provider about getting tested. Common symptoms include fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, fatigue, body or muscle aches, diarrhea, vomiting, and nausea.
Free COVID-19 testing will be offered next week in Tomahawk with the Wisconsin National Guard. The free testing event will be held at Sara Park from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday October 1st. Pre-registration will be available for the event 24 hours before it begins.
