MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — Governor Tony Evers said Tuesday that he would ‘absolutely’ take the COVID-19 vaccine when it becomes available to him.
When asked by WTAQ whether or not he would get the vaccine immediately, Evers replied “Sure”.
“Absolutely I will. I’ll wait my turn, but when my turn comes up, both my wife and I will get the vaccine,” Evers said.
His sentiments were issued by DHS secretary designee Andrea Palm, Bureau of Infectious Diseases Acting Director Tracy DeSalvo, and Governor Evers Chief Legal Counsel, Ryan Nilsestuen.
The FDA is likely to approve the first of several COVID-19 vaccines for emergency use as early as this week.
