MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – Mexico’s ambassador to the United States, Martha Barcena, has decided to retire early and will leave her post in the coming months, she said on Monday.
“In consultation with the President, I’ve made the decision to retire early. Nobody else intervened or had an opinion on or influenced this personal decision,” she said in a post on Twitter. Barcena added she will continue to lead the embassy until her departure.
