MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — Conservative justice Brian Hagedorn joined the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s three liberal justices in a 4-3 ruling to reject a lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump’s election campaign seeking to throw out over 200,000 ballots in Wisconsin and overturn the election results in the state.
The ruling came just before Wisconsin’s electors are set to meet in Madison to officially cast their electoral college votes.
The majority opinion stated that the Trump Campaign’s concerns over who met the definition of an “indefinitely confined” voter were “meritless on its face.”
Former Vice President Joe Biden won the state of Wisconsin by around 20,000 votes.
