MADISON, WI (WTAQ-METRO) — Should the elderly or minority communities be prioritized for the vaccine first?
That’s the argument on the Wisconsin’s State Disaster Medical Advisory Committee’s Vaccine Subcommittee.
Committee member Rob Gundermann said the virus is killing mostly older and sicker people, so they should be next.
Committee member Silvia Munoz-Price said the state should give preference to low income and minority families, particularly in Milwaukee.
The subcommittee will meet again in January.
