RIB MOUNTAIN, WI (WSAU) — A Tomahawk man has been accused of driving while high with a two-year-old child in the vehicle.
Highway patrol officers say 35-year-old Scott D Stevens was pulled over Saturday evening for an equipment violation along Highway 51 near Rib Mountain Drive. While interacting with Stevens, officers observed a strong smell of marijuana. When confronted, Stevens admitted to smoking while driving.
He then failed a field sobriety test and was arrested on suspicion of first-offense OWI with one child in the vehicle under the age of 16. Other charges against him include possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on an order to detain given by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
Officers didn’t say if or how the child was related to Stevens.
