MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – New cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin on Sunday took a jump after Saturday’s confirmed cases reached just over 1,000.
The DHS on Sunday confirmed 2,446 new cases after processing 4,588 test results for a positivity rate of 53%.
The seven-day case average moved to 2,244 Sunday, a 22 case increase from Saturday’s average.
Five new deaths were confirmed by the DHS Sunday, bringing the total to 4,875.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 486,531 positive cases and over 2.36 million negative test results.
The DHS considers 454,850 patients to be recovered from COVID-19, with 26,670 active cases.
