The Green Bay Packers are well represented on the 2020 Associated Press All Pro Team released today. Matter of fact, it’s the first time since the last of the Glory Years the Packers had four players on the first team.
All four were key members of the NFL’s highest scoring offense.
Aaron Rodgers QB. Broke his own club record and led the league with 48 touchdowns with just five interceptions finishing just below his NFL passer rating single season record. It’s the fourth time Rodgers has been on the first team.
Davante Adams WR. The first time for Adams after his Packer record smashing season of 115 receptions and record tying 18 touchdowns, becoming the first player ever with those numbers in NFL history.
David Bakhtiari T. Even though he missed four games with rib and knee injuries, Bakhtiari is now a 5 time All Pro offensive lineman (first or second team).
Corey Linsley C. A first for Linsley who missed three games with a knee injury. He was named to the Pro Football Focus first half All Pro team and was among 10 centers in the league who received votes.
It’s the first time since 1967 the Packers landed four players on the first team which also had two offensive linemen, Forrest Gregg and Jerry Kramer.
The Second Team AP All Pro is where two Packer defensive players landed.
Za’Darius Smith LB. First All Pro honor for Smith who led the Packers with 12 and a half sacks, 23 quarterback hurries and four forced fumbles.
Jaire Alexander CB. A first for Alexander following his election to the Pro Bowl. According to Pro Football Focus, Alexander allowed just 35 receptions in 563 coverage snaps, giving up just 4.9 yards per attempt. He had 13 pass break ups without committing a penalty.
Congrats to the Packers All-Pro’s!
