MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers says he intends to veto the Republican-led COVID-19 relief bill passed by the State Senate on Friday.
Assembly Bill 1 is the bill worked on by Assembly Republicans that departed from the bill originally passed in the Senate that included aspects of Governor Evers’ compromise legislation the Governor had put forward in December.
The Republican bill bars employers from being allowed to mandate their employees receive the COVID-19 vaccine and also forbids state and local governments from shutting down churches as part of pandemic procedures.
