James H. “Jim” Burt, of Marshfield, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family; wife Suzanne “Sue;” and his children. He was born on Feb. 9, 1945, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, to Lloyd and Edith (Brown) Burt.
Jim married Suzanne Graff on July 28, 1973, at First Presbyterian Church in Marshfield. Together, they raised four children: John, Jody, James and Joelle.
He graduated from Marshfield High in 1964. After graduating, he worked closely with his brother, Robert, at Burt Trophies for 33 years. He also worked for Marshfield Clinic Labs as an Outreach driver until he retired in 2010. During his working years, Jim also had two businesses of his own, Jimbo Fries and JSB Trophies.
Jim loved spending time with his family at their property at Rock Dam. They spent many summers there with friends and family. He enjoyed running model trains, and was a long time member of the Hub City Model Railroad Club of Marshfield. He was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Marshfield; Rock Dam Lake Association; and the Edgard Steam and Gas Club.
Survivors include his wife, Suzanne (Graff) Burt; their children, Jody (Bruce) Baginski of Antigo, James (Hazel) Burt of Stratford, Joelle (Thomas Loosman) Burt of __________; brother, Lee N. (Joyce) Burt of Marshfield; sister-in-law, Shirley Burt of Marshfield, and Sandra Leal of North Las Vegas, Nevada. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and cousins.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Edith Burt; brothers, Robert L. and Donald (Alberta) Burt; son, John V. Burt; nephew, Brian Burt; mother-and-father-in-law, Vern and Marie Graff; and brother-in-law, John Leal.

A private family service will be held with public visitation time from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, 2021, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 E. Veterans Parkway in Marshfield.
