IOLA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Changes to admission and concession prices — to reduce the need for cash change — are among the modifications Iola Car Show organizers are making to hold the 2021 event during the coronavirus pandemic.
Day passes will be $20 at the gate, with three-day passes costing $30. Children 12 and under, as well as parking, are free. Visitors are encouraged to buy tickets beforehand online, where prices are $15 for one day and $28 for three days. Concession prices are being adjusted — up and down — to create more $5 and $10 prices, so less change needs to be given back to customers.
Some carry-ins will be allowed for those who are not comfortable visiting concession stands.
Organizers are also encouraging face masks and social distancing while on the grounds. There will also be more sanitization stations. The event will also be limiting or eliminating features that promote congregating.
Still under consideration are socially distanced music performances, possible indoor capacity limitations and possible requirement of face masks indoors.
Complete updates on COVID-19 protocol are listed on the event’s website.
This year’s event is set for July 8-10.
