WAUTOMA, WI (WSAU) — A competency exam has been ordered for a man accused of fatally hitting and killing a 6-year-old girl.
The crash happened on February 4th, 2020. Carl Mullenix is accused of fatally hitting Maryana Kranz as she went to get on the school bus in Plainfield.

On March 1sth, a competency exam was ordered for Mullenix. Court records say that Mullenix’s attorney told a judge there are reasons to raise the issue of competency and asked for the evaluation to be ordered.
He’s scheduled to be back in court on April 6.
