KENOSHA, WI (WSAU) — The trial for 18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse has been delayed by at least seven months.
During a court appearance on Wednesday, both prosecutors and Rittenhouse’s defense team asked a judge for more time to prepare for the proceedings.
The trial had originally been scheduled to begin later this month. It’s now penciled in for November 1st but could be delayed longer.
Rittenhouse faces charges including reckless homicide and reckless endangerment in the case. He’s accused of killing two people and injuring one other during a night of civil unrest in Kenosha following the shooting of Jacob Blake.
