EAU CLAIRE, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP men’s hockey team beat UW-Eau Claire 2-1 in overtime in the WIAC Tournament on Wednesday night.
Carter Roo scored the game winner 2:20 into the OT. That was after the BluGolds tied it with 12 seconds left in regulation after pulling their goaltender.
Jordan Fader had the other Pointer goal. Ryan Wagner had 27 saves.
The Pointers will host UW-Superior on Friday.
The UWSP women’s hockey team lost game 1 of their WIAC semi-final series at UW River Falls 5-0 on Wednesday night.
Olivia Schultz had 46 saves for the Pointers. Jordan O’Conner had to only make 13 saves for the Falcons.
The two teams play game 2 on Friday.
