MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — For the first time in well over a year, the ticket windows will open at American Family Field.
The team announced that available single-game tickets will go on sale Friday, March 26th for all home dates through May 2nd.
Through an agreement with health officials and the City of Milwaukee the team will allow up to 25% capacity for those games, which means up to 13,000 fans can attend. Season Ticket Holders have been given the first crack at tickets, with remaining inventory to be sold on a single-game basis.
The team will also be contacting fans that have a credit balance for purchasing single-game tickets last year regarding their accounts.
Officials estimate that a limited number of single-game tickets will be available for high-profile dates such as opening day and home dates against the likes of St. Louis and the Chicago Cubs.
For the time being, fans will be expected to wear face coverings in the ballpark unless they are actively eating or drinking and remain in their two to six-seat “pod” unless purchasing food or beverage or using the bathroom. Those procedures may be adjusted as the season goes on.
After playing a shortened 60-game regular-season slate without fans in 2020 thanks to the pandemic and a brief labor dispute, Major League Baseball intends to play a full 162 regular-season schedule this year.
Last year’s shortened schedule was offset by a one-year expansion of the postseason to 16 teams, allowing the Brewers to play into October despite having a losing record. All playoff series were played in a bubble format, with fans only allowed for the ALCS and World Series which were played at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
