MADISON, WI (WTAQ) – Four more pharmacy chains in Wisconsin began receiving COVID-19 vaccine doses this week.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services announced that the Community Pharmacy Enhanced Services Network, which includes some Hometown Pharmacies, as well as Managed Health Care Associates, Meijer and Walmart locations in Wisconsin will receive doses as part of the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program.
Kroger, parent company of Pick ‘n Save stores, and Walgreens were already part of the program.
During the first week, the federal government was expected to ship 2,340 Pfizer doses to CPESN; 500 Johnson & Johnson doses to Managed Health Care Associates; 3,510 Pfizer doses to Meijer; and 1,500 Johnson & Johnson doses to Walmart. Those allocations are in addition to the state’s allocation.

Beginning Monday, Wisconsinites 16 and older with certain chronic conditions become eligible for vaccines.
