MADISON, WI (WTAQ) – While Sunday’s COVID-19 7-day case average slightly increased, the Department of Health Services is reporting that 25% of the state population as received at least one vaccine dose.
The Wisconsin DHS is reporting 420 new cases of COVID-19 after 4,448 test results were processed.
Sunday’s updated 7-day average reached up to 399 after Saturday’s previous average of 378.
No new deaths were reported Sunday as the total stands at 6,576. The 7-day death average is six.
Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, there have been 572,432 positive cases and over 2.68 million negative test results.
The DHS considers 559,478 patients to be recovered from COVID-19, which makes up 97.8% of all COVID-19 cases.
6,219 cases are currently active.
With vaccines in the state, 2,333,528 have been administered.
25.2% of Wisconsin residents have received at least one vaccine dose, including 72.4% of adults 65 and older.
Nearly 15% of residents have completed their vaccine series, or 855,820 people.
