WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — In a statement posted Thursday morning, organizers with Wausau Events have announced the return of some community events to the calendar this summer.
Wednesday night concerts in the 400 block, or Concerts on the Square, will return beginning June 16th and running through August 18th. Performers for each of the ten nights will be announced later.
Chalkfest will return to downtown Wausau on July 10th and 11th with artists creating chalk drawings on the sidewalk.
Then in mid-August, it will be the return of the Big Bull Falls Blues Fest at Fern Island Park on the 20th and 21st.
A fall event will also be held in September but details such as date and location have not been finalized.
According to Wausau Events, all of these will “certainly require different planning compared to previous years and may look a little different, but we are working hard to provide events that can be offered in a safe environment.”
Specific details about things like face-covering requirements, social distancing, or attendance capacities have not been announced. Those interested are encouraged to keep an eye on wausauevents.org for the latest information.
