Today’s the big day! If you’re on a diet and trying to get fit for summer, this is the cheat day you’ve been waiting for because your money’s going to a good cause. Culver’s is celebrating their “Scoops of Thanks” day, which started back in 2015 to support the younger generation of kids in agriculture.
The fundraiser is very easy. You go to Culver’s, donate one dollar to FFA, and then get a scoop of custard. Simple as that!
“Scoops of Thanks” is a fundraiser through Culver’s “Thank You Farmers” initiative to shine the spotlight on the people working hard to keep food on our tables and in Culver’s restaurants. So far the program has raised over $3 million to help the National FFA Organization, local FFA chapters, and other ag-based organizations.
A spokesperson for Culver’s, Alison Wedig explained that some FFA chapters use the money to buy the infamous blue jackets if a member can’t afford one. Other chapters have used the money to send students to agriculture conferences, for chapter supplies, and even to build greenhouses. The money is truly impacting the next generation of ag professionals in more ways than one.
The “Scoops of Thanks” promotion is a one-day fundraiser while supplies last. You can choose from a scoop of vanilla, chocolate, or the Flavor of the Day: Mooey Gooey Twist.
