ALEXANDRIA, VA (WSAU) — The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has released an age-progressed photo of Timmothy Pitzen, the Illinois boy who went missing from the Wisconsin Dells in 2011.
Pitzen was last seen when his mother unexpectedly picked him up from school and took him to the Kalahari Resort. A few days later she was found dead in a hotel in Illinois; leaving behind a note that said her son was fine but no one would ever find him.
Since then there’s been no sign of Timmothy, who may go by Tim or Timmay. An Ohio man claimed he was the missing boy in 2019, but that turned out to be false.
Timmothy’s father, Jim Pitzen, released a statement through NCMEC saying “we believe he is out there and we hope every day that he will make his way home.”
Anyone who may have information is asked to call The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678) or the Aurora Police Department’s Timmothy Pitzen Tip Line at (630) 256-5516.
