MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is scaling back their COVID-19 reporting schedule as cases continue to fall throughout the state.
Data will no longer be updated on weekends.
“We have staff who have been doing these updates now, seven days a week, for 15 months,” DeSalvo said. “So we’re glad to be able to be in a place with the pandemic to move to a five day per week schedule.”
Weekend numbers will instead be available on Mondays. They’ll also focus more on rolling seven-day averages instead of daily case numbers.
The new summary dashboard shows the seven-day averages for new cases moving to 285 confirmed cases and 55 probable cases. The seven day death average is two. Since the pandemic began, there have been over 609,500 confirmed cases and 7,040 confirmed deaths.
