JOHNSON CREEK, WI (WSAU) — A two-vehicle crash along Interstate 94 in Jefferson County has left two people injured.
The crash occurred in the westbound lanes near mile marker 263. Officers say they arrived to find both vehicles on fire.
Med flight was called into airlift the victims from the scene. An update on the extent of their injuries and conditions has not been given.
Because of the size of the fire and the need to airlift victims, officials closed down the Westbound lanes of the interstate for nearly 90 minutes. All lanes are now back open.
Names and hometowns of the victims have not been released. The State Patrol is continuing to investigate.
