NEILLSVILLE, WI (WSAU) — A man accused of stalking and killing a Loyal woman is being held in jail on a 7-figure bond.
Jesus Conteras Perez, 41, was charged with 1st-degree intentional homicide, hiding a corpse, and stalking resulting in bodily harm with domestic abuse modifiers on June 7th, 2021. He is accused of stalking and murdering Cassandra Ayon, who was last seen in the Unity area on October 3rd of 2020.

At his initial appearance on Tuesday morning a cash bond of $1,000,000 was set for Conteras Perez. Conditions of the bond include no contact of any kind with the victim’s family or anyone listed in the criminal complaint, he may not possess any firearms or weapons, and he cannot leave Clark, Marathon, or Brown County without the Courts approval.
A preliminary hearing for Contreras Perez has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 23rd. At that hearing, he is likely to learn if his case will head to trial.
