WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — Wausau Events is cautioning residents about a Facebook event for a Balloon and Rib Fest-like event at the Downtown Airport on October 8th and 9th.
Executive Director Alissandra Aderholdt said her group is currently not involved in planning anything at the airport, and airport officials say they’ve not given the green light to anyone to hold an event in their space on those dates.
“We just don’t want the public being confused with any of our events coming up this fall. We do not have any events planned for October 8th and 9th,” said Aderholdt
She said they do have other plans for the fall though, including a fireworks family weekend in September. More information about events being put on by Wausau Events can be found here.
