KRONENWETTER, WI (WSAU) — Police in Kronenwetter have released the name of the driver who was going the wrong way on Interstate 39 last week, causing a head-on collision that killed both women involved.
Talin Walker has been identified as the 27-year-old who was headed north in the southbound lanes when her vehicle crashed head-on with another car driven by 18-year-old Kaytlyn Thomas.
Both women were pronounced dead at the scene. Thomas’ name was released last Thursday, though at that time officers said they were still working to positively identify Walker.
Further details regarding the crash have not been released. The incident was reported just after 11 pm last Monday and involved multiple reporting agencies. The southbound lanes of Interstate 39 were shut down for more than 4 hours while the scene was cleared and investigators worked.
