MADISON, WI (WSAU) — Former Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch has announced that she raised over $1.2 million in the days following the launch of her campaign for Governor.
The Kleefisch camp announced the total on Monday- adding that she went into last Thursday’s announcement with just under $200,000 in cash on hand.
Kleefisch is the first big-name Republican to join the race for the state’s highest office in 2022. Other names said to be considering a run include lobbyist Bill McCoshen, state Rep. John Macco and former Marine and current leader of No Better Friend Corp Kevin Nicholson.
Businessman Jonathan Wichmann is also running on the Republican ticket.
