MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos has issued a number of subpoenas on behalf of the investigation into the 2020 election being conducted by former State Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman.
A press release from Vos’ office confirmed the subpoenas on Friday, but didn’t specify who they were being sent to, nor what they were asking for.
A previous subpoena attempt sputtered out in early September after clerks in Brown and Milwaukee Counties refused to comply, arguing that the subpoenas, which were issued by Republican Representative Janel Brandtjen of the Assembly Elections Committee, weren’t legal.
Vos says he’s ‘supremely confident’ that a partisan review of the 2020 presidential election in Wisconsin will show ‘there were issues.’
