The numbers are in and last week’s World Dairy Expo that was held at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison brought in 48,502 people, which is a third less than the 2019 expo. The show did however bring show-goers from 48 countries through the grounds with some of the top contributors coming from Venezuela, Pakistan, Canada, Colombia, and Mexico.
Taking a look in the barns, the expo housed over 2,300 cattle being shown by 1,566 exhibitors from four countries including the U.S., Canada, Italy, and the United Kingdom. The dairy sale sold 49 animals that brought in a total of $2,168,200 with the highest bidding dairy animal selling for $220,000. When it comes to the trade show, there were over 650 companies participating from 19 different countries.
The 2022 World Dairy Expo will once again be held October 2nd through the 7th.
