WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau/Central Wisconsin Convention and Visitors Bureau has named a new director, and it’s a Central Wisconsin native with many ties to national media organizations.
Tim White has accepted the position and will begin his duties immediately. White was born in Wisconsin Rapids and graduated from high school in Amherst after growing up in the Stevens Point area. He graduated from UWSP and holds a master’s from Bethel University in Minnesota. He’s also received a certificate in leadership from Harvard.
White has helped lead numerous projects with national media groups such as ESPN/ABC, Turner, CBS, Fox, and NBC.
CVB Board President Brian Schulz says that Tim’s personality, experience, and skill set are a great fit for the community and he will work hand in hand with the community to make Wausau thrive. White says he looks forward to building relationships and expanding the group’s reach outside of Wisconsin to make Wausau a destination location.
