MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ) — Officials with the Federal Bureau of Investigation are looking for a man they say shot an off-duty Milwaukee Police Detective earlier this month.
Acting Special Agent-in-Charge, James B. Hurley of the Milwaukee Field Office joined Milwaukee Police Department Chief Jeffrey B. Norman on Friday to announce a $10,000 reward, seeking the public’s help for information leading to the location and arrest of Keasean J. Ellis-Brown, 19, of Milwaukee.
FBI officials say Ellis-Brown was the one who pulled the trigger on January 13th at around 2:00 PM in the 200 block of East Buffalo Street. The detective was assisting a woman who was being attacked, allegedly by Ellis-Brown. Ellis-Brown then reportedly pulled out a handgun and shot the detective several times before fleeing the scene.
Two additional subjects involved in the shooting have already been arrested and charged in the case. However, Ellis-Brown who is charged with Attempt First-Degree Intentional Homicide remains at large and considered armed and dangerous.
If you have any information regarding Ellis-Brown’s whereabouts, please contact the Milwaukee Police Department at (414) 935-7360 or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (414) 224-TIPS or P3 Tips App.
