GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — With the Packers set to play their first game in London it begs the question: will Packers fans travel overseas to watch their team in action?
Travis Loftus manages Ticket King in Green Bay and says: maybe.
“I’m sure there will be a fair share,” Loftus told WTAQ. “We’ll have people kicking the tires to see how much it costs.”
Ticket prices aren’t clear, and no precedent exists for what they might be, given that the Packers have never played in London. Given that we’re still not sure when the team will be traveling across the sea and who they’ll play when they get there, there’s no way of estimating how much plane tickets and a hotel stay might cost, either.
Such things are trivial details to some in the Packers faithful, and given the global reach of the team, Loftus says you should expect Tottenham Hotspur stadium to be filled with Green and Gold.
“I’m sure there will be a lot of Packers fans who go over there, and a lot of fans in London as well,” said Loftus. “It’s the NFL’s way of expanding its fan base.”
