STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The Stevens Point Police and Fire Commission has announced the promotion of Bob Kussow to Chief of Police and Dana Williams to Assistant Chief, effective May 3rd.
Both Williams and Kussow began their careers with the SPPD in the late 90s as patrol officers and have held numerous positions within the department since then. Kussow has also served as a school resource officer, operations sergeant, and sensitive crimes detective. Most recently he has served as assistant chief.
Williams has also been a forensics detective and lead detective. She currently serves as the lieutenant of the investigative bureau.
Both have also served as Patrol Supervisors as well.
Kussow and Williams will officially be sworn in on May 3rd in a ceremony held a the Police Department’s training room.
