CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI (WSAU) — Chippewa Falls Police have arrested a juvenile in connection with the death of ten-year-old Lily Peters on Sunday.
Officers say the male was an acquaintance of Peters’ but didn’t release any further information including the boys’ age. Additionally, no charges have been filed in connection with the case.
Officers also said a search warrant was executed in connection with the case at a home on N Grove Street. No details about that were given, and it’s unclear if the arrest occurred in connection with the warrant.
With Tuesday’s announcement, officers believe there is no longer a danger to the public. They are asking the public to avoid the area where Peters’ body was found as it remains an active crime scene.
