Wisconsin Right Now’s Jessica McBride and Jim Piwowarczyk joined me on Feedback to discuss the curious case of Republican Gubernatorial candidate Tim Michels’ residency. McBride pointed out that if this isn’t settled prior to the August primary, the Democrats will have a heyday with it in November if Michels prevails.
Michels recently brushed off questions about whether or not he is a full-time Wisconsin resident as “political games.” He advised that he’s “always lived in Wisconsin 183 days a year.” Because the average hard-working tax-paying voter in Wisconsin regularly counts the number of days they live in the state in which they vote…
I want to beat Governor Veto in November. And we don’t need the stereotypical candidate that the Democrats vilify Republicans for all the time buying this election.
Discerning conservatives want to know the following:
In addition to Michels’ (and his family’s) apparent part-time status as citizens of Wisconsin, what ties does he have to establishment big union, big government lobbyists who are responsible for the Scott Holes campaign and the defeat of Former Governor Scott Walker? Why should voters trust a candidate who is connected to those who opposed Act 10, Right to Work and Prevailing Wage legislation that have benefited Wisconsin taxpayers to the tune of more than $15 billion?
Frankly, I’m fed up with the good old boys network who think that they can be the kingmakers in our elections. From my perspective (just one girl with a mic and an opinion), bazillionaire Tim Michels and his establishment lobbyist cabal have decided that he’s going to buy the Wisconsin gubernatorial election.
Do voters realize that he just dropped a million bucks on TV ads insisting that he’s not the establishment candidate? C’mon.
I wonder how this information will sit with the average voting FULL-TIME citizen of Wisconsin?
It sure doesn’t sit well with this principled voter.
