WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Customers were excited for the beginning of this season’s Farmers Market.
Area farmers popped up their tents and prepared their stands, as customer came out in the dozens for the fresh produce, herbs and baked goods.
For one area baker, this was her first time back since July 2021.
Shoppers stood in line for over a half hour to get scones, doughnuts and more from JoJo’s Bakery. Jojo Vang, owner of JoJo’s Bakery is excited to be back amongst the crowds at this year’s market.
“Well it’s kind of my identity it’s how people know me as Jojo the baker,” Vang said. “So I was really close to giving it up because of my illness, and but I just couldn’t quite give it up.”
The Farmers Market will be back every Wednesday and Saturday from 7:00 A.M. until items are sold out. The market will continue through late October.
