MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — A series of shooting incidents on Friday have led the Milwaukee Bucks to cancel the Game 7 watch parties that were scheduled for the Deer District this evening.
According to a statement posted on Twitter Saturday afternoon, the move will “allow law enforcement to devote needed resources to the continued investigation of [Friday’s] events.”
Deer District businesses will remain open, but there will be no organized watch party in the area.

The news came just as Milwaukee Mayor Caviler Johnson was issuing an 11 PM curfew for anyone under the age of 21 on Saturday and Sunday nights in the city as part of an emergency order.
The shootings occurred as fans were leaving Game six on Friday, resulting in more than 20 injuries. All victims are expected to recover.
Milwaukee has seen a sharp rise in gun violence in 2022. In the first four and a half months of the year, 77 people have been killed by gunfire and over 240 shooting incidents have been reported.
