MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ-METRO) – National and local radio shows are pausing Brett Favre’s appearances due to his involvement in a Mississippi welfare scandal.
SiriusXM told Variety Sunday that the NFL Hall of Famer’s show is currently “on hold.” Similarly, Milwaukee’s ESPN Radio affiliate said Favre’s Monday morning appearances have also been paused.
The decisions come as information continues to come out that shows Favre was more involved in the scheme than first reported.
Text messages show he knew the money he was paid for speeches was actually meant for low-income families.
Favre’s attorneys say the former Packer great did not knowingly take money meant for welfare recipients.
