MADISON, WI (WSAU) — A man from Buckeye, Arizona has been sentenced to 16 years in federal prison for his role in a meth ring that operated through the US Postal Service.
Levi Bagne was said to be the “undisputed leader of the large-scale trafficking organization,” according to federal investigators. The 31-year-old was responsible for mailing packages that contained meth from his home in Arizona to Wisconsin, where others would distribute the drugs.
Two packages that were intercepted in late 2019 and early 2020 contained a total of six pounds of meth. All told investigators say Bagne mailed more than 20 pounds of the drug to Wisconsin.
Packages were sent to a home in Oshkosh, and some of the drugs ended up in Central Wisconsin as well. That resulted in the arrest of three Merrill residents.
