UPDATED: Taylor Hackel has been found, according to a Facebook post from a family member. Several reports say the woman, who had been missing from her college in Washington DC, was found in the Eastern European country of Georgia. DCM police have not provided any further updates. WASHINGTON, D.C. (WSAU-WAOW) — A Wausau woman going to school in the nation’s capital has been reported missing, and police are investigating.
Taylor Hackel, a Newman Catholic Schools graduate, was last seen on Monday in Washington D.C. She was reported missing Wednesday by the DC Metro Police.
The 24-year-old is a student at the John Paul II Institute, which shares a campus with the Catholic University of America. Though she is not a CUA student.
Taylor’s family is asking for privacy at this time while they work to find her. Officers add that at this time there is no reason to believe she is in any danger. Anyone who might have information on her location is asked to call the DCM Police at (202) 727-9099.
