MADISON – Bradley Uken has been selected as Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation’s Chief Administrative Officer.
Uken will oversee all day-to-day operations and staff for Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation, the state’s largest general farm organization.
Uken has worked for Illinois Farm Bureau his entire career. During this time, he has served members in three counties including Stark, Bureau and Champaign.
“Farm Bureau is a great organization, one that continuously strives to serve our members,” said Uken. “I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to be part of Wisconsin Farm Bureau. I look forward to helping the organization build on its rich tradition and meeting the challenges that agriculture faces now and in the future.”
In his current role managing Champaign County Farm Bureau, Uken oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization while advocating for the agricultural industry. He provides information to members, helping them make the best decisions for their farm and investment. He also assists in educational efforts with youth in the county and consumer engagement.
The Champaign County Farm Bureau is a 10,000 plus membership-based organization driven by the efforts of volunteers including a 31-member board of directors.
“Bradley brings a wealth of Farm Bureau experience, but also brings new experiences and perspectives,” said WFBF President Kevin Krentz. “Our staff, board and members are looking forward to working with him.”
Uken was born and raised on a corn, soybean and wheat farm in Champaign County, Illinois. His family also operated a small farrow to finish hog farm.
He attended Parkland College for two years before transferring to Illinois State University in Bloomington-Normal where he earned a degree in agri-business.
Uken is married to Christine and has three children.
Uken will succeed Kevin Krentz, who serves as WFBF’s interim CAO, on February 1, 2023.
Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation is the state’s largest general farm organization. Made up of 61 county Farm Bureaus, it represents farms of all sizes, commodities and management styles.
