STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP mens basketball team beat UW-Superior 76-72 on Saturday night at Quandt Fieldhouse.
It was the 34th consecutive victory over the Yellowjackets.
The Pointers were led by Ryan Genrich with a season-hight 15 points. Zach Mootz had 12 and Josiah Gille added 11.
The Pointers, now 7-4, travel to San Antonio Texas this week for a pair of games. They play Southwestern University on Wednesday and Trinity University on Thursday.
The UWSP womens basketball team dumped Ripon College 62-51 on Saturday afternoon.
Alexa Thompson had 13 points and nine rebounds. Jamie Pfeifer had 11 and Gabby Gawlitta added 10.
The Pointers, now 8-3, travel to Dubuque Iowa this week. They will play Wheaton on Thursday and either Calvin College or Loras on Friday.
