HIGHLAND, WI (WSAU) — The Highland Community School District called off classes today amid an ongoing investigation.
The district made the announcement in a Facebook post on Sunday, while the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that they are assisting in the investigation.
Neither the school nor Sheriff’s officials have commented on the investigation, and it’s unclear if the incident stems from a specific threat.
Many schools were closed on Monday for the Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday, though the Highland Schools were scheduled to have classes.
