WISCONSIN (WTAQ-WRN) — After Democrats in the legislature call for his removal from the Wisconsin Elections Commission, Bob Spindell defends his comments about driving down minority voter turnout last November.
Spindell claims that he’s not racist, and would never stand for efforts to suppress voter turnout.
“I think they should take a look at my past experience over the many years in the black community.” said Spindell. “And I’ve said many times in open meetings that I will not stand for any suppression of the vote, especially in the black and Hispanic communities. Especially in Milwaukee.”
Spindell said that his comments about lower minority voter turnout in November were about Republicans putting more campaign resources into the City of Milwaukee.
