WISCONSIN (WTAQ-WRN) — President Joe Biden delivered remarks mainly focused on the economy during a stop near Madison on Wednesday. At the Laborers’ International Training Center in DeForest, the president said his economic plan is working.
“At the port of Green Bay, we’re helping turn an old water plant site into a new port terminal, going to create thousands of jobs over time. This is big deal.” said President Biden.
He also went after Republicans who he says want to go after social security.
“You have a senator named Ron Johnson. Ron Johnson on Social Security, Medicare quote, ‘We should transfer everything. So we have to consider everything every year.’ Come on, man.” said President Biden.
Republicans hotly dispute those claims. In fact, Biden’s remarks come after Republicans booed him during his State of the Union address Tuesday night when he made the same claim.
