WISCONSIN (WTAQ-WRN) — Milwaukee said farewell on Monday to slain police officer Peter Jerving. At the funeral, Police Chief Jeffrey Norman addressed the family.
“On behalf of the Milwaukee Police Department, we offer our deepest condolences to our family, the Jerving family.” said Chief Norman. “Please know this. We don’t walk in front of you. We don’t walk behind you. We walk you with you, as we heal together.”
Jerving died last week in a struggle with a 19-year-old robbery suspect who also died. Jerving was 37-years-old.
